Cascade is a compact desk fountain designed to promote relaxation and mindfulness in work environments. Aimed at students and professionals who work from home, the project responds to the growing issue of workspace stress caused by static, cluttered setups and the absence of natural sensory elements.

Through surveys and observations, the design identified that incorporating natural sounds and movement—particularly flowing water—can significantly improve concentration, mood, and emotional well-being. Cascade translates this insight into a simple, soothing product that integrates seamlessly into everyday desks.

The fountain features a smooth, organic form that allows water to flow gently from the top dome into the circular base, creating a continuous calming sound. It consists of three main components: the fountain top, the base, and a DC water pump system housed within. Designed for practicality, the fountain can be easily refilled through side arches without disassembly and cleaned by detaching its snap-fit parts.

Inspired by the rhythm of raindrops, waterfalls, and natural balance, Cascade combines visual serenity with functional design. Its minimalist form and quiet operation create a sensory pause in busy workdays—encouraging users to reconnect with calmness and focus through the tranquil flow of water.
