Geode is a night lamp that doubles as an ambient décor piece, inspired by the captivating beauty of geodes and the vastness of outer space. The design merges natural crystal formations with cosmic aesthetics to create a sculptural lighting object that transforms ordinary interiors into luminous, atmospheric spaces.

Drawing inspiration from gemstones, planetary rings, and celestial light phenomena, Geode features two intersecting metal rings embedded with coloured glass crystals and illuminated by LED strips. The contrasting pink and cyan hues mimic the glowing gradients of nebulae and other astronomical forms, evoking a sense of wonder and tranquility.

Through ideation sketches and material explorations, the design evolved into a balanced composition supported by spherical bases that allow the piece to rest elegantly on flat surfaces. When unlit, it functions as a sculptural art object; when illuminated, it emits diffused, gem-like light that enriches the surrounding space.

The prototype employs LED lighting with a four-way connector system, ensuring uniform glow across both rings. By blending nature’s crystalline geometry with futuristic lighting effects, Geode reimagines the night lamp as an immersive experience—inviting users to find calm, fascination, and connection to the universe within their everyday environment.
